Mine is tappy to, i was thinking the same thing, is it a problem

Getting it serviced in the next few days so an oil change in place will hopefully sort it

I have had tappetts adjusted and that didnt make a great difference

You just need tappets adjusting. Leave the car overnight forst as you need a cold engine.

vtr engines are quite tappy, but it can get quite bad and its worth takign off the rocker and chucking a feeler guage in there and checking the valve clearances just to be sure. Having them adjusted will help, but the engine can still be tappety. Best thing to do is get a vts, they have hydralic tappets lol

my vtrs got a very tappy engine aswell, not bad enough to go get it fixed though, aslong as its not damaging itself by tapping away???
