How to clean a BMC air filter?

What products are needed to clean the filter itself?

to the best of my knowledge, you can get a specific cleaning kit (like the pipercross ones) from BMC suppliers.

is that pricey!? Ive removed thw filter & just knocked the crap out of it before! it gets loads in there!!!

but feel now she needes a deep clean!

i always blow mine out with compressed air last ime i cleaned it there was bits of metal in the filter smileys/smiley3.gif
