pug 306 gti-6 engine has been done, but imo not worth all the hassle for 167bhp@fly. transplant a vts engine and 'charge it for a quick car whilst keeping the saxo's good handling.

I know someone whos put a 1.8 20v T engine from a mk4 golf gti in a lupo, if that can be done, uve gotta be able to do it to a saxo!

Scott
18th November 2005, 22:23
no i mean if your going to have an engine in the back then dont waste it with just a two litre go for something that warrants that much work.

Lol really take the piss, one 20V T in the front and another in the back! OK, its been done loads of times, but thats in the dub scene, this SAXO!!! smileys/smiley2.gif

pug performance do alot of the 2 litre conversions,so if you really want to do it give them a ring

or just drop in a Xzara VTS engine! 2.0 at 170bhp!

'drop it in'?!? it's more or less the same engine as the pug 306 anyway, and if it was that simple everone would be doing it. smileys/smiley17.gif

you got a link for that? smileys/smiley2.gif
even if you could get it in, it would handle like a bag of mouldy shite due to weight of the engine, as anyone who's ever driven a C20LET-converted nova/corsa will tell you smileys/smiley4.gif

agree with the handling had a c20let out once was some scary shit putting it round corners when i was used to saxo go kart handling

there are lads round here who have got 2ltr novas that handle but i still prefer the way my saxo goes round corners
