hello all, i know i am going to sound dull but is the cam belt also known as a timing belt? also how much are ca belts for a vtr? tenner? easy to change?

yes they are the same thing, the belt as about 15-20 notes and if you know what your doing they are easy to change, if you dont know what your doing they are not easy to change as your messing around with the valve timing within your engine. You may want to leave it to the professionals if your unsure when trying to change it.

Don't just buy a belt. You need a timing belt kit including relevent pulleys. A few pennies more expensive but worth it.

as above id always suggest getting a kit over just a belt. Get yourself the haynes manual and see if you can do it yourself
