If i were to fit a wideband sensor to a vts which had a full exhaust system (including manifold and de-cat) and an induction kit, would it iron out any flat spots and help fulfill the potential of the mods?

Or have a misunderstood what wideband sensors do?

Sorry fot the noobishness

no mate. not unless you had after market management etc. so it wouldnt work, well do anything anyway because it would be getting relayed back to the same ecu (narrow band)

(someone correct me if im wrong please)

Ah looks like my plan of a cheap quick alternative to a remp or aftermarket ecu has just gone out the window :(

a wideband sensor really is only needed to get the best possible map on the ecu. once a good map has been saved on the ecu a standard lambda can do just as good a job
