sportex backbox

hey i know there is probably a thread already with all this on it it but i am getting a new back box at the end of the week and i am wanting a sportex on off ebay (cheep) but im nt to sure what size to go for 3" or 4" i want it to be loud but i dont want it to look supidly big if you know what i mean?

can anyone help please?

i have the 3" i highly reccomend them, mine isnt that loud, nice noise though. :y:

Same I have the 3" backbox, sounds ok and looks the part but doesn't seem to make any real noise upwards of 3k.

Odd, mine sounds tame until 3k, then it sounds nuts. Proper raspy, lots of pops and it gets caught on afterburn really heavily when coming down through the gears :drink:

Mine is a 1.1. I have the race tube on mine but inside of the car it sounds really bassy upto 3k then it quietens right down as I hit 3.5k, 4k, 5k etc. Is yours decatted?

Mines only a 1-4 dude. Until Monday anyway lol. But yeah it is decatted. Had a std mani on it in that vid too

I've got the Sportex centre section, well worth buying imo. Its only £48, and mines decatted too.
