i started my car today, and left it running, while i got my daughter in the back, and strapped her in.

I HAD THE FRIGHT OF MY LIFE...

the car revved up by its self, not high though just to about 2, 2 and a half.

i turned the car off, and started it again, it was fine untill i reversed, stopped to put it in 1 st, and it did it again.

i was scared to release the clutch as it might have shot off!

it was fine for the rest of the day,

what could it be??

Cleaning the old valve out stops it sticking usually.

Just wrote a HUGE post then realised I can just link you this on my forum.

Shows clearly where it is, and I can imagine the VTR isn't too different tbh.

i have/had the same problem, before you buy a new part try turning the key two clicks and waiting ten seconds then turn it all the way back off and repeat this 5-6 times then start the car, it worked for me :y:. Basically it resets the little needle bit for the ICV, hope this helps.

check your floor mats! sounds stupid but i know people that have taken their cars to garages over this!
