if your fitting an oil prssure gauge just take the standard sensor out and put the new sensor in its place simple cos you wont require the shitty standard gauge when you have an accurate racing gauge fitted

was that a joke? i would rather trust the standard 1 than most cheap aftermarket ones.

well i would only buy proper racing gauges myself like ones made by autometer they are brilliant gauges and are used in motorsport worldwide, but i guess there are shitty ones on ebay nd stuff so yeah make sure you get a good one otherwise its not worth changing lol..

Some gauges that cant be found on ebay arnt actully that bad and can be miles more accurate than oem jobbys.

yeah the oem oil pressure gauge is just linked to the warning light so when it drops below a certain pressure the light appears on the dash, thats why if you have a proper gauge fitted it can only be better than an warning light....

If the oil light comes on the damage is allready done imo. they come on when its virtully dry in most cases.

my point exactly thats why the gauge would be a much safer and better idea all round, you can stop the car before its to late and the engine welds its self together!

I was looking to fit one. Have a VTR with no oil pressure gauge. How could I do it?

Normally a sandwich plate between the filter but im sure the saxo can be done differently (waits for somone to say how) then plump it in and wire it into your lights and your off.

Its hard to explain but gauges once somone shows you arnt that difficult to fit.

Ive got a oil pressure and oil temp to go into my car just cba to fit them now tbh LOL
