if you want more power get a resistor chip

i drilled my airbox the other day. i know its what pikeys do but without my open induction kit on the car feels quicker and much much smoother. and because of the holes i still get the noise of an induction kit. and all the holes are on the back so you cant see them from the engine bay.

a simpler solution is to just take the the restrive pipes going into the standard air box and replace it with a straight pipe or just leave it off

i was only trying to improve the airflow a bit, make it a little bit more responsive thats all, but at the same time i dont wnt to have an induction kit or anything like that need thje car standard for insurance reasons. ive left it as it is as it seems most of you recon its not worth doing.

drilling is gay period, do what tom said and remove the resonator pipe.

wont really do alot, but will make you feel better :D

if i remove the resonator pipe though im left with just a hole in the airbox and its going to suffer from heat soak ?

and still gives you that bit of noise that an induction kit gives ya

i took the box off mine.. hella loud inside it. Big roar at 3-4k, Got some piping, attached to slam panel at bottom. Not as much of a roar, but plenty of cold air getting sucked up.
