Never actually changed any injectors before how simple is it?

pretty easy easy, get the fuel rail off and they will pull out. may need to rub a TINY bit baby oil round the seal to get the new ones in as they can be tight.

Is that actully a gain or are you jsut going to overfuel.

I looked into bigger injectors before and in the end wasnt worth it without having a car with boost.

As for the job its self peace of piss pull out push in.

Matt.

i doubt it mate. just sticking some bigger injectors in wont make your car more powerfull. you'll just overfuel.

The general consensus with folks with 1.4s who put VTR injectors in is that it does put more fuel in, but that it'll be overfuelling, and could lead to borewash, but some do claim it gives a bit extra power, you sure as hell aint gonna notice that extra power though.

Neither, they're both the same engines.

When putting vtr injectors into a 1.4 you need to get it remapped for best gains as it will just be using the same amount of fuel as your previous ones

how do you figure that out?
it will be using more fuel as it will be flowing mroe fuel through them in the same amount of time.
totally pointless fitting bigger injectors unless you need them.

well surely because the ecu is setup to use the orgional size injectors then wouldnt it overfuel or under fuel?

i may just being a complete noob btw :)

in your above post you said with bigger injectors it would use the same amount of fuel as before. which it wouldnt.

bit off topic but has anyone ever tried running a diy boost on a vtr with vts injectors and a remap as opposed to bigger or fifth injector? cant help but think im missing something in this theory though, someone point out the obvious ive missed haha

bump from 2009 lol.
ive got a 2000 vtr rolling roaded at 117 brake, minor headwork, ph3 cam, breathing mods etc. (printout to prove, for all you none believers) would fitting fitting vts injectors help or would i see more gains with the vtr ones with a remap?
