looking a buying a new stainless 4-2-1 manifold now should i heat wrap it or not because i am hearing many different things for example if i heat wrap it then it will not be able to expand etc. so maybe you guys could help me out? :)

i would get a mild steel manifold as the SS ones crack under heat and cost loads more

i wouldnt wrap it, its good stuff for short, VERY short blasts when you want the car up to temp and goign for a few mins... every day use its no good, because it will keep the engine running hotter, wont allow the pipes to expand as you said, and holds in pressure that you dont need...

imo i wouldnt.

Get some heat resistant paint from the frauds and this doesnt make your hands itchy :y:

I had a heatwrapped janspeed mani didnt realy notice a difference tbh

imo i wouldnt.

have you just made that up?
it will allow the pipes to expand.
the exhaust gases will escape quicker as they will be hotter, so engine temps will more than likely be lower.
