IF money was no object then the answer would be yes!!!!
but the reality is that to most ppl this aint the case, although you wouldn't be able to fit this engine under the bonnet, would have to go in the rear, but if you have unlimited funds of green then anything is possible if you try hard enough

it could go in the front, would have to sit way over the front wheels though to make more room for transmisson and prop, then you would have to convert the rear to run 4x4

just do what they did on the 206, used a sierra 4wd chassis and put the 206 shell over the top, needed the dimma wide kit but it looked the part.
as said could be done, very interesting project.

to built a complete new engine (as a manufacturer such as citroen) would cost a few million once you go into design, development, testing and then the actual manufacturing process.
i'd rather just buy a saph/escort cossie tbh smileys/smiley2.gif

the guy in redline built it and bought both cars for 13k so it can be done "cheaply" im learning how to do this at uni and for my final project me and a few mates are aiming to do something mad like a twin turbo'd v6 but undecided on what to put it in.
hmmmmm smileys/smiley17.gif

find the lightest thing you can, stupidly wide rubber for traction & on the deck! job done.... stick a clio V6 in a R5!? in its ass... connected to the rear wheels only!smileys/smiley2.gif

aye but that lads dad owned a bodyshop and repair place so he helped alot to keep the costs down, if a garage done that for you expect another 10k to mate 2 shells together after shortning one and then sorting it to pass an MOT.
