hey one of my foolish mates was saying about turboing a 1.0 i said its a waste of time and wouldnt even beat a vtr of the line. he thinks different he knows more about engines than me but has no common sence just wondered if it would be worth it or am i right and would it be a shitty 1.0 again

You could get 1.0 faster than a VTR, but for the money and work it wouldnt be worth it IMO

He could make a 1.0 alot quicker than a vtr.

By bolting a turbo on?
Betty's 1.2 twingo is turbo'd. That could murder a vtr.

Loads of people turbo vtr's and that. Sophia Bush on here had a turbo'd 1.1 as well. Didn't cost alot iirc.

it didn't look anything special, had a 2.1 zetec turbo lump but the car was the same.
It's stupid to take the piss out of him for wanting to turbo his 1.1. Some people do stuff like that and get good results.

he is 17 doesnt even go to college and hes basicly built this car himself mate he used fuking speaker wire to hold the exhaust up. and drove it round with primer on. like i sed he has no common sence but seems to be able to put and sort of mechanical thing together. also the car is currently of the road beacause he needs a vahicle inpection before he can inure it before he can mot it lol and why would you bother

i personally would much rarther buy a bigger engine a turbo that and get much better results lol considering you could buy a 1.6 fiesta for the same price as a 1.0 fiesta

1.0 would be cheaper to insure as a 17 year old though.

Yeah but with a TURBO? Not likely to be much difference to be honest up to about 1.6L. And if someone can't afford to insure what they plan on doing, wait until they're older or have more money.

True, but not many people actually declare their modifications. It's nothing to condone and it's stupid but if you take what the guy is saying about the guys car in question he doesn't sound like the kind of guy who would bother telling the insurance company.

What does he drive like?
a knobhead trust me originally he drove it into a ditch a completely fucked the car i mean the roof even had a crease in it. he then decided it would be a good idea to fix it up lol and drive it again which he did for a good few weeks. then he brought a shell because the other car was dangerous and put all the okay bits of his old car onto the new one. which is what he has now but he did a stupid thing and put the old reg plates on the new car as mot and insurance would still show up if police saw him stupid thing is he scrapped the old shell so when he did get caught (parked up) they found out the vehicle was a scrapped car. they was going to take the car untill they found out it had insurance and was motd and the reg plates matched with the engine. so they let him drive it home ever since its been sat at his house needing a vehicle inspection which it wont pass for shit then insurance and mot considering btw this was origionally just a 500 pound car which by now he has prob spent nearly a grand sorting it out. so why would you then go and put a turbo on it lol. also the police havent done fuck all since they was meant to go to his house which they havent show how tough the police really are on this sort of thing.

Is there much point in him fitting a turbo? I doubt he will have a car much longer anyway, so it will be a waist of money.

to be ohnest mate he doesnt deserve a car or even a licence it people like him that the police need to sort out but no they just let him get on with it and put other peoples lives at risk including me or my gf when he was driving right up our asses.
anyone else think trying to over take in a 20 zone with speed bumps is one hell of a stupid thing to atemtp if he ever damages mine or my gfs car he wont be capable of driving anyway.
