Was on peugeot ecosse earlier and stumbled on this.Surely it would fit a VTS,but cant get my head round the fact that they claim you could get upto 14 bhp from it.This is from a company with a Big reputation. Its a lot for an induction kit but imo seems to good to be true especially after all the arguments about induction kits.

it would need modding to fit a vts as the slam panels are different

but yea it is a big claim tbh

It does say upto.
14bhp, no. 5-6bhp, yes :)

Even 5-6 is optimistic?

1-4 i reckon.

it's a pack of crap the claim - in the sense that you increase your max horsepower by 14 ponies.

BUT this is how manufacturers get away with these claims... it could very well increase horsepower by 14 ponies at 2000 rpm, and make no difference at 6000 rpm but hey ho! they can then say it increases hp by 14 hp.

AlexB.would that be a hard job to do.?i think it looks good like.it also says excellent bhp figures which makes me think it could be close to around that figure.but dont want to spark a massive Sax-p debate.lol

What they actually mean is across the whole rev range, they just neglect to tell you that :P

its a carbon version of the simota kit.
I don't think many small engined cars will gain 14bhp. Its marketing speak though. On a car its made 14bhp. What model/make/spec that was is lost as its probably not relevant.
Virtually everyone does it.

Horsepower "gains" are never entirely accurate, as it is all relative to everything else done on the car, the specific engine, etc.

Horsepower should always be rated at peak RPM, otherwise they are describing the power curve...which is entirely bollocks as it can be manipulated.

The real gains from such a kit, as it is enclosed induction, may be from 1 hp, to 4 hp if lucky depending on your relevant engine modifications.

As above, claim is crap. I very much doubt on a mildly tuned saxo, it would giain you 14bhp. 2-4bhp will be more realistic.

And its basically the same as a raceland, whihc can be had for about £50 -£60.

its better than a raceland. The quality will be much better. And that one is actually carbon....

I said its basically, its just the appearance and quality of materials used that are better, i doubt the fact its real carbon will effect the gains it will give?

Its not worth £130 more imo

I had this one. I still use the Samco hose as it's really good quality. The shell / heat reflective material is actually fibreglass, and rather weak.
