mk2 vtr decat?..mani

how hard is it to take out the mani on a mk2 vtr later ones with cat in the mani.
and whats a good value for money mani, that's easy to fit.
really not to looking forward to spending 300 pounds on a mani and then the same sort of money on an exhaust system just so its decat tbh.

different location of the oil filter so OE ones might have issues without some modifictations iirc
