can any one help???

my 5th injector runs from a fuel pipe, running from the injector rail, to the 5th injector..

only im experiencing problems, with the fuel pipe that comes off the shrove valve (think its called that) (the valve at the end of the injector rail,

it leaks, and today it totally come off, leaving me stuck on a busy road!

ive tried various jubilee clips, and it still leaks.

any solutions>

or what type of fuel piping should i use? or shall i round off all the threads on the valve?

the jubilee clips have a good strong grip, but still leaks, so i can only think of changing the fuel pipe to a smaller hole, so it grips better>>>>

or how are other turbos`s running the 5th injector?
please help.........

Have you got any pics of your setup?

From memory - the VTR fuel rail only has one inlet/outlet. FPR is under the rear bench.
My understanding of your setup is that there's a T piece in the fuel line, where it branches off to feed the 5th injector. Am i correct in thinking there's nothing wrong here.

The problem is to do with where the original fuel line joins the fuel rail?

Jubilee clips aren't really ideal for fuel lines - as they don't close perfectly circular when tightened. Ideally you want to be getting some cobra clips. Either that or get a fuel line from the fuel rail to the bulkhead off another car, and replace the one thats leaking.

if you look on the rail, it has a valve at the end, i took the cap off, drilled the valve out, and run a pipe from the valve to the 5th injector. the connection from the valve is whats leaking,

i changed the rail, as i thought the valve was leaking through the threads, but no luck.

Ah - ok.

Honestly don't know what to suggest to fix it.

Personally what i would do (or should i say, how i did when i was running an MF2 setup) is;
replace the rail with a completely standard item.
Instead of getting the 5th injector to run off the valve hole (which IMO is asking from trouble) - is to follow the standard fuel line back to the bulkhead (sure its visable in the pic), and on one of the rubber bits, cut clean through it. Get a fuel line T piece (8mm IIRC) and a few Cobra clips. Put the T piece into the standard line, and run the T to your 5th injector.

Your FPR should be on the rear bench, so they're all getting fuel at the same pressure. The thought of drilling through the valve, making sure no remains are stuck in the rail to blcok an injector, finding someway of attaching the hose securely all seem a bit too much. When it'll take you all of 5 mins to cut the existing hose, T piece for £1, 3 clips for £1 and you're done with very little modification.

what stu said the usual thing to do is get a t piece on the original line and run that to the 5th injector thats what I did on my old setup.

As for fuel rail I would just seal that back up no worries there, wouldn't cost you more than £5 to sort that out prob £2 if that

thanks,

so what part do i add the t-piece, on the pipe that leads to the injector rail it self?

yeah thats the one you know the fuel line connects on the ecu side of the rail yeah well if you trace that back it will be clipped into place on the back of the bay all you need to do if put the t piece in line with that make sure it doesn't leak then voila thats your vtr all happy again

ok thanks sounds easier than what i done.

do i use metal t-piece, plastic? do i get short rubber pipe bits to go over the t-piece and the orginaL fuel line i cut?

can i just buy the bits from halfords?

can you get different size t-pieces?

just get a metal one it wont cost much, the pipes you just use the original clip each side then the pipe from the 5th injector to the other outlet and clamp that down job done :D just need t piece same id as the fuel hose so its a nice tight fit

yeah they should have the bits you need at halfords.

ive has a look at the fuel lines, and theres no rubber atall, its all plastic, the same size as the pipe thats on the top of the injector rail,

do i cut this??

i dont wanna go cutting into things b4 i know for sure.

see the fuel line in the pic there on the right hand side of the rail is rubber? well follow that up to the back of the engine part way it will have a plastic connector that clips into the solid line, just the rubber hose and put the t piece in there

Good stuff anyways :D
