Panel filter mate.
How much are you looking to spend? Resonably cheap varies from person to person.

yer true true, well tbh i was hoping to pick one up for 50 - 60 pounds, coz of tight budget atm....but i presume these panel filters cost a fair bit more?

No mate, panel filers are about that :y:
The Raceland enclosed induction kits can be had for about £50 - £60, from MrWilly on here :y:

nahh mate you can pick one up for less than that, i would say get a panel filter for your original setup or get a BMC......... http://www.kamracing.co.uk/citroen-saxo-1/filters-induction-19/panel-filters-28/

Will still be better than a raceland, wont look as good. But performance wise, its the way to go :y:

Also what year VTR is it? Because if its one of the earlier ones get rid of that bottle neck in the intake while you're at it.

Y reg doesnt really narrow it down as it was in the transitional period, but you'll know what I mean when I say the bottle neck, its looks like a bloody funnel in the middle of the intake, whip it out and a put a straight piece in if its got it.

would a pannel filter go in a 98 vtr ?
Foxdog
12th May 2009, 14:26
Well i got a pannel filter from K&N for my VTS untill i have the spare cash to get a BMC CDA,
£29 :y:
reason for this rather than a 57i kit which is also relatively cheap is that at least with the pannel filter is in the standard air box and so protected from engine heat, cant see much benefit in the filters that sit beside the engine sucking in hot air
