Get either a panel filter, or a Raceland / Simota

K an N Gen2s are good if you can afford / want to spend that much on one.

And open filters are fairly cheap, and make a nice roar :y:

Ive seen panel filters but where do they go? you got a link to a pic to show me?

I seen a K&N 57i Kit but then my mate recomended a Pipercross Kit, he has a Zetec-S Fiesta and it roars lick fuck from the filter.

pannel filters just go in the standard airbox replacing the standard air filter, it seems the general opinion on here that there as good as a decent enxlosed system for power gains and alot cheaper. but it wont give you any induction roar :(

I have the airbox off though, i have a universal air filter attached straight onto the where the airbox come off,, i got bored and it was £25 so i slapped it on lol i want a propa one :) Would a raceland filter fit onto my furio? i searched for pics and all i found was them on 1.1's which look different from my engine on the pics so i couldnt relate them lol

Search 'heat soak' if considering an open cone filter.

Yes you can get a raceland to fit a furio :y:

Also, Pipercross Open Foam filters are just about the loudest filters you can get.

Hence why i have one :D

search 'heat soak'.

Get over it ;)

Heat shield, ducting, nice long pipe to position the filter further forward and your laughing.

Affects performance though does it not the further away from the TB you position the filter?

at the end of the day, your always going to get a bit of heat soak with a open filter, but i doubt most people will be that bothered about the small performance loss.

from what i've seen the raceland kits are good value, but some of them seem to be a bit dodgy, like not fit quite properly, nothing a bit of fabrication cant sort though :)
there was a guy on here selling them cheap, dont know if he still is though

I want it LOUDD :D The exhause backbox is huge and makes loads of noise at 60mph+ and your ears start to pop lol, I think i will get a pipercross filter with 1 90Degree bend leaving the sponge cone pointing towards front of car, Sound good?

Yes it does :clapping:

But i love my open filters, cant beat the noise.

that should be pretty loud lol. you could use some piping to relocate the filter near the front of the engine bay away from the worse of the heat too

sorry didnt realise this had been posted further up the thread

Ive found a Pipercross kit on Ebay with a buy now of £88, worth buying would ya say? It had a 90degree pipe with it but looks short, i could do with 1 single pipe with a 90 on it that could reach to near front end of car, any where i could find one? and if theres any darkish metalic red pipe i will make love to the person who can find me it lol
