Hi, i had a straight through centre section laying around so i fitted it to my Mk1 VTR and it feels slightly slower if anything :n:

It is still using the standard VTR backbox, but has no silencer or cat.

However when i measure 0-60 times and stuff they are reading 8.5 secs (which by time is reaches actual 60mph is around 9.2 secs) so i think its just the throttle response that has been lost :( I read somewhere that straight through system can help with BHP but lose some torque, is this true ?

And would fitting an aftermarket backbox help this ?

Many thanks, Alex :A:

Thanks guys :) .

But do i need more back pressure, or less ?

I dont know if the gas is flowing quickly through the system, and then gettin all stuck up when it reaches the backbox :/
