in theory you cant really do a cold start map as with the kms there is no icv to lift the idle on cold

thats from what ive seen on 2 cars though

ICV only allows more air in. When cold the whole engine will require a % more fuel, there should be provision for this, even if you have to keep blipping the throttle to stop it stalling.

Mine cuts straight out if it's cold. It can't idle at all.get it to about 76degrees and it's fine.just got to sit with my foot on the accelerator.

mine was fine with cold start n 708's, but my lappy died so i cant get any figures.

and it cost me a mapping session to buy the figures, so go and get it mapped :P

Mine was fine as well, just keep foot on throttle for 1-2 mins and then its all good :)

Are you running TB's aswel or simply just Cams and the KMS?

jpsaxo and pjm300 iirc are both running throttle bodies which does away with the need for an ICV or any of the problematic sensors

I has KMS on mine with just cams and it was absolutely appauling.

Idle sat at around 2.5k and with no amount of tweaking would it come down to a reasonable level.

For the amount you pay the KMS is of more use wiping your arse with unless you're running the TB's

no not running tb's mine idles fine and drives fine its just the cold start, but i have made it alot better now after adjusting it yesterday.

its because there is a "different" map for coldstart. it is hard to map the coldstart map as you have to start with a stone cold engine, and once the engine has started it only takes 2 mins for the car to warm up, so then you have to let it go stone cold again....all in all a time consuming process wich people dont want to pay for with mapping.
