View Full Version : Can Anyone Tell me What Year Saxo VTRs This K&N Induction Kit will fit?

Hello all,

I purchased this induction kit nievely off eBay knowing very little about what car it would actually fit. The advert stated it was for the Saxo VTR but failed to mention the age of the car it was taken off.

From these pictures, do any of you know what years it is suitable for? I did no research before I bought it and am paying the price.

I would like to sell it on but would like to make any potential buyers aware of exactly what they are getting.

Many thanks in advance,

Darcy

if yours is an 03 that will fit fine

I have actually just heard from the seller - he writes that he thinks it is from a 96-99.

Is he wrong or is a 96-99 one also compatible with an 03? Looking on the K&N website and alike, it seems that they have different part numbers.

Also, can I assume that I simply slot it straight onto my air intake pipe before the mass flow and temperature sensors (once you have removed your airbox etc.), then attach the small pipe onto the oil breather pipe on top of the rocker cover?

yeah, just undo the juilee clip holding the airbox to the inlet, undo the cold air feed and the air box will just lift out. then fix the k&n on with the jubilee clip and put the other hose onto the rocker cover

Thanks for your replies.

I have found the web-site:

http://www.filterpower.co.uk/kn_induction/citroen_kn.htm#SAXO 57i Kits:

It looks as though there are three part numbers for induction kits for the Saxo VTRs.

One (part number 57-0180) is for 96-99,
The next (part number 57-0335) is for 99-00
Finally (part number 57-0336) is for September 00 onwards.

Although the 57-0335 and 57-0336 look very similar, does anyone know what differences there are between them?

With the seller saying it was for a 96-99, I now have little doubt that it is a 57-0335 instead of the 57-0336 meant for my car.

Should I just sell it and get the correct one for my car or do you know if it will fit and work correctly?

Many thanks,

Darcy

It'll fit fine mate, any will fit most Saxo's easily. Only engine that it would need a little bit of work doing to make it fit would be the blacktop engines.

its 01 onwards cause the older ones have two breather pipes goin onto intake pipe instead of one so will fit yours fine :)
