Hi, im trying to swap my 1997 blacktop VTR engine which has a keypad imobiliser, with a 1998 VTS engine. I have the engine, loom upto main multiplug in engine bay, ECU, transponder box, and key, all out of the same car! But I have now realised that my car doesn't have a connecter for the transponder box behind the glove box, or a connector for a pickup ring on the ignition barrel which i was going to secure the vts key into, but using the original vtr key to start it.
Is this conversion now possible? Or will I need a later VTR or VTS loom, but just the fuse box to ignition barrel side of it, with these two connectors on it? Is there a way around this?

Cheers.

i think using the loom will be OK but will need to get another ECU, with transponder box and the key all matching from same car. You dont actually need to change the pickup ring around the barrel cause the keys are chipped so any ring will read it
