Right, just wanted to find some info out... Hope you lot dont bite my heads off lol...
I have a black vtr mk1, i'd like it to take off nicely, not bothered about top end speed.
I have fitted:
Pipercross air filter
De-cat
Cherrybomb Backbox
Janspeed 4-2-1 Manifold.
Lowered 55mm all round.
Anyone have any ideas for anything to fit that will make it accelerate quicker?
I know that a vts lump would be better, but no, just no. lol and no turbos or superchargers... or nos... lol
Had some ideas like:
Piper Cams.
Quick Shifter.
Piper Cams Vernier Pulley.
Pipercross Induction Kit.
Remove Back Seats
Bucket Front Seats.
Take sub & amp out.
Smaller Lighter steering wheel.
Front strut brace?
and maybe after all that... a re-map?
Ive got about £700-£800 budget, for now, get paid monthly and all that so there's always some money for the Saxo :D also i can get a mechanic to fit stuff cheap...
Any ideas?
Any comments?
Anything that i havent said that is a must have... or stuff i said that costs loads and make no difference?
Thanks :)

for better acceleration trying different gearbox's
vtr or an s2 rallye or really mean and get an s1, will see mpg become shit, but will be minter lol.
change the cherrybomb to a supersprint/piper race backbox.

Thanks for your replys :)
Ive just brought some tyres and wheels, didnt have much money so brought some fox racing ones... cheap shit lol. lighter than what was on there... and got toyo proxys on there... any good?
As gear boxes go... Wouldnt really know where to start looking... and rough prices?
literally only just brought the manifold lol...
would all of the stuff i mentioned be good all together?
if i did put cams and stuff, would a re-map help? or is it not worth it...
Thanks

Looks tidy mate. Not sure about the wheels though, but your car, and if your on a tight budget like me you cant afford to be choosy. Keep up the good work.

Gearboxes are good additions, different ratios will help you pull away a bit quicker.

been looking on ebay for 1.4 xsi gearbox ph3, and theres none. But have found one at a scrappy for £150 inc delivery, 70K miles, is that a good price? saxo has done 55K miles so seems a bit stupid to replace it with a gearbox with higher mileage, been thinking about just wacking a vts engine in it. What is needed to put a VTS engine in there and getting it working ( apart from the engine obviously lol )

Looks mint, no way is that lowered 55mm all round tho and as said change the system, I got Raceland 4-2-1 to Supersprint no cat and no centre to Magnex 3" inward rolled FTW ;)

get rid of the piper x air filter for a start, followed by a decent cat back exhaust system.
then imo i would leave it as that tbh. apart from the obvious of vts engine.
i personally would not cam a vtr as for less money you could vts power
