Save your money and only do a remap after camming an engine!
No point doing it on a stock one.
Very unlikly to gain 10% from a stock remap!

pretty optimistic claim ! i doubt you will notice any difference.
with big wheels and a boot full of subs even if you get 85bhp performance would be better if car was bog standard tbh !

Mapping on N/A is not always seeing a major difference, you'll probably at most increase by about 8bhp

IMO the first point you should start thinking about a remap is after fitting:
Induction
Manifold
Full exhaust system
Cams
anything before that would almost be pointless

you wont get the cylinders bored, the wall lining is far too thin. there is no point remapping your ecu with those mods wait until you have cams
johnlambert - You will notice a difference but not much and you will probably get used to it very quickly. Without trying to come across in the wrong way, with 6 or so years experience on Saxo sites do not bother try to make a slow car slightly faster. Unless you are considering spending serious money tuning your 1.4 you'll only end up getting it around VTR pace for more money than an engine conversion. New people dont seem to like hearing this, I dont know why. There was a guy called LeeVTR iirc who was adamant that he was going to cam his VTR despite advise from me and a few others to go with a VTS conversion. Needless to say once he had cammed his VTR he said he should have got a VTS engine put in - instead.
Vtr_HBO - Depending on your other mods up to 130bhp once correctly mapped.
