standard air box with uprated filter

what does everyone mean standard air box with uprated filter? and enclosed filter?

i have a open k&n filter i like the noise but want the gains of an enclosed filter, is as said above the best way

Exactly what it says on the tin.

Its the standard airbox with an uprated air filter in it. So it looks exactly the same, but its a performance one like K&N or something!

Enclosed is a filter which is totally enclosed to stop heat being absorbed.

Are you thinking of a panel filter?
A filter the same as the orignial but made out o the same stuff as cone filtes so there is more air flow.
