i have an oil catch tank, only connected at the engine breather, the other hole is free, have noticed that there is now a bfair bit of smoke comin out the tank, when hose detached its comin from the rocker breather(vts) does this mean there could be a problem in engine to cause this, not sure if it normal not noticed it before.

has it got wire wool in it? if not then i think thats why its smoking cus the wool condenses the oily air to turn the oil back to liquid and if its not there then the oil air will go straight in to the tank and come out the breather and i think there also should be a plate in between the inlet and out they normally have to be moddified to fit and you should put a breather on the end of the other pipe
