I've bought a supersprint cat back system with the sole intetion of fitting it to my cat. (mk1)

The cat tube was intended to go inside the tube of the supersprint but the diameter was the same! I bought a sleeve to connect the two parts but the exhaust was far too long!

However the local garage to me is willing to cut the exhaust down to size and flare the end for a price (£25 per half hour :err:)

Should I fork out and get it sorted tomorrow (I've had the exhaust for a few days now and is killing me having it laying around the house) or should I buy a de-cat? Baring in mind I dont have a system come MOT time anyway. :ponder:

why not just cut 2 notches out the exhaust and flare it out a bit yourself..

buy a decat, makes difference to power not to mention the noise but keep your standard centre section with cat to use for mot time.

Is the de cat in a 1.1 in the centre section then?

Cut cat? What does this involve?

why not just cut 2 notches out the exhaust and flare it out a bit yourself.. I would do but it needs to be cut back around 3 inches due to how my cat is :n: (in theory I need an angle grinder) I've thought about all the possibilites I'm able to do, and the garage is going to be most feasable I think :n:

The cat comes straight after the downpipe like every other mk1 sax :)

De-cat is more costly but will be worth it! Hit a brick wall here.
