What would be the best mods to do next for performance on my VTS?
It currently has Fast Cams, K&N Induction kit, 4-2-1 Branch Manifold and a full decat Magnex System Exhaust. It is also Lowered 5o mil.

Any helpful advice would be great. Thanks

Depending on the cams ( i cant tell from "fast cams" ) then a remap would be good.

But brakes are also a good place to focus next :y:

yeh a little more description on the mods would help

a suspension upgrade could be suggested ie better shocks?

but agree with the above, remap and brakes!

If the cams are phase 3 im guessing its already remapped. what is your budget? maybe get ph4 cams and throttle boddies and a standalone ecu management for 170bhp

If you do have ph3 cams you cant really do much more for cheap money, maybe port and polish your head and skim it for more compression,

Agree with the new brakes, if u havent already, strip it. Get rid of any un-needed weight. Depends what u want to spend really. Theres loads of options mate!

how much of a skim though? dont want to bend the valves

im running pugsport cams and have been told theres no point in skimming:wacko:

depends what he wants out the car, all out power? handling? all rounder? track car?

if you have the mintex m1144 pads they will be good enough IMO you are probs around 148-155 bhp at the moment. also remember a service will free up a few ponies:).

Thanks for that. I think I need to get it rolling roaded and remapped if it needs done.
Cheers

If you have had phase 3 cams fitted and no remap your looking at 135bhp tops and it will be running very lumpy, a map will cost £300. also make sure your air filter is an enclosed so it is only sucking in cold air( maybe have a cold air feed from a foglight ;)) and maybe wrap your manifold to keep under bonnet temperatures down.

The manifold is wrapped.
It must of been remapped already because there is hardly any lumpyness as this mod was done just before I got the car.

head skimmed is great for compression, i had a vts with just under 155 bhp and my mate got his one skimmed, ported and polished and he used to blast me away up first and second. wasnt til fourth that i would start to pass him
