Ive just been lookin at the bmc cda induction kits on kam racing and i was wondering what the differece is beteween them? Thay all have the same serial number but the VTS one is 150 but the vtr is 170. Could i just get a vts one and put it in my vtr and save 20 quid or are they actualy sprcific for the car?

Probably a stupid question but i just thought i would find out!

It's to do with the Throttle body diameter IIRC. The filter itself is the same. but it's the hosing that goes from the filter onto the TB that will be different.

As to whether you can make it fit or not I don't know, probably if you bodge it, but It depends whether it's worth it for £20 or not.

I see, i didnt think the BMCs came with the hosing to go to the throttle body anyway, just the cool air feed ducting? Thnaks for you help:y:

For £150 I'd bloody hope they were ready to fit straight away! Although now you say it, I do remember something about it, just can't actually remember what it was .

my bmc was made for the vts and i have a vtr but i wanted new blue silicone piping anyway so just measured it up and got the piping. job done.
the blue piping did cost me £30.00 tho.

Thanks for the feedback

The airfilter unit is the same part number, but we sell complete kits, with additional pipes and breather filters included where necessary hence the differences in prices.

Wasnt aimed at you kev, i have bought many a product from you.
I assume bmc think the more expensive your car the more money you have, and thus set min. prices and charge more?
