Think you may need to reword that question mate, the only cost effective way of getting a vtr engine into your 1.1 is by buying the vtr engine and having it put into your 1.1

That's a really good price tbf, I may take you up on similar to this in december if that's ok? Interested in what you do with regards to the upper mount bracket, as they are different on the base models?

PS: Sorry for the thread Hi-jack :P

i got to the scrap yard and grind out the engine mount or get a new one fabricated then weld it in then fit new engine :)

Helloo, I have a saxo 1.1 and I am thinking of putting a 1.6vtr/vts engine in , as ive spent alot, alot, and alot of money on the bodywork of my car, but its slow as hell lol, I need more power.
Would you come down to mine, or will I have to bring my car and bits to yours, as i live in norwich. Also would you be able to tell me all the bits i need to buy ect. engine i know aha , but all the other little bits e.g. cables, drive shaft,...

Thanks

Bought my vtr engine and loom etc for 50 pounds off a mate, dropped it in in a day and had it running on that same day.
Runs better than it did in his quickie. :y:

If the 1.1 is a 3 plug mpi engine all you need to get is the VTR engine complete and unlocked ecu you can use the 1.1 loom and it will plug in to the VTR no problems mate did same with his but with a quiky engine

aup how do you know if its a 3 plug mpi engine?

because there will be 3 plugs on the ECU and the engine will be the multi point injection type rather then single point, typical engine code is HFX for 1.1 multi point if i recall.

ooooo im guessing that would be the desire 1.1 instead of the forte 1.1
