how to reset the service counter:
hold left button on your speedometer, turn the key to give "contact", then it should count down 10sec, and that's it

On the Picasso you hold down the button with the "0000" marked on it and turn the ignition till the dash lights come on (but don't start engine). Then the digital dash counts from 10 to 0 and the service light then goes out.
You could try pushing the mileometer stalk in and turn the ignition till dash lights are shown???? Worth a try.
