Is there a way of making a MK1 VTR overfuel slightly.

I have tried driving with the MAF senor off and Lambor senor off but this makes no difference IMO

any reason you want it to overfuel?

Please dont say its because you want some 'phat flames'

Normally when the lambda sensor is faulty it will cause overfuel so unplugging should have same effect.
Im sure i read somewhere that the saxo overfuel on purpose (sorry im new to saxo).
Also why not try a fuel pressure regulator and overfuel it, but i would imagine a loss in power that way.

I've tried the lambor senor off but didnt work, mine you i did only take it round the block to try it, might try it again.

Anyone else know of any other ideas??

Leave it off for a bit and see what it does. As what i said above mate a fuel pressure regulator

If you want it to pop on overrun, you DON'T want it running rich, you want it running lean... it's the excess air going into the chambers that causes it, or when the fuel doesn't quite ignite properly and burns in the exhaust.

What the actual fuck?! Is it retard day or something? You want to potentially damage the car, and waste countless amounts of extra money on fuel, just so you can get it to 'pop and bang?'

The amount it would cost extra in fuel over the year, if you saved the money you could probably buy 10 4-2-1 manifolds and Decat pipes, and actually have the car properly 'popping and banging'.

Hows that caused then?

It already has a

Raceland 4-2-1 Mani
Supersprint Mid with no cat or centre silencer
Magnex Backbox

yer it doesnt???

I'd suggest it may be down to the magnex being quite a quiet exhaust, you could try buying the Supersprint Race backbox.

My Friends VTR Pops and bangs like a bitch with a Raceland 4-2-1, Supersprint mid and Ashley 3" backbox, mind you he also has a panel filter.

May be worth trying to get a decent Induction setup if you haven't already, and consider changing the backbox. Has to be a hell of a lot easier and better for the car than trying to make it overfuel.

Cheers Dan thats a bit more of a respectful comment/reply ;)

I currenty have a Green Filter (cone) on there are thats what was on it when I brough the car. I think my friend when he had the system had a CDA, reckon that could be it?? as current I think the filter is sucking in hot air from the engine cos it has no cold air feed.

change exhaust rather than pulling sensors and bits off your engine
