not straight in i dont think. engine loom for a mk2 wont match the car loom on a mk1 but im not sure if you need to use a mk2 loom, i imagine so due to various different parts

Lots of work, would have to replace the entire interior loom apparently. Stick to 1 plug engines.

shouldnt need to do that. just connect all the right wires where the engine loom meets the interior loom

I asked a while back about putting the 98bhp engine into my car and that's the answer I got. Right pain in the arse apparently, never done an engine conversion myself though.

im unsure on the vtr but on the 16v you can put the mark 1 loom round the mark 2 engine
if you can do that on the 8v thats the best way to go with it

like i say im not sure though
main difference will be on the inlet as they differ and you cant swap the inlets round due to the port spacings being different

so its down to rewiring the multi plug which isnt a fun job to do
