Bottom end question? quick answer needed

does a 1,6 8v bottom end of a 1996 saxo/106/306 fits an
1,4 8v 2000 saxo silvertop engine?

What do you mean by bottom end? As in everything below the head?? (simple Q, but not always smileys/smiley2.gif )

I do not know for sure, but would assume the crank, etc are the same. Obviously pistons, etc will be different size to the 1.4.

yeah i know....
but i want to know if the spacings etc. from
the 1,6 bottom end fits the 1,4 head...
(because i have a performance head and cam for silvertop....)

all 8vs are the same with regard to spacing for oilways and water ways and pistons etc, you might however have to work out your compression and valve clearance, also is it a alu block?
