vtr exhaust queries

i have a 2002 vtr with a magnex backbox and supersprint race centre section.

At the moment i still have the cat in as its in the mani. However, it is really quiet and can only really be heard under hard acceleration etc.

Would decating it make it any louder or is it down to the fact the magnex has a huge silencer on it ?

i was tempted to get a mk1 vtr mani and downpipe to decat it.

would this make any difference ?

magnex doesnt really have much sound to it

you see the issue i have is that the centre section has been cut to fit the magnex......

so now a different backbox wont fit on :(

ye im tempted.....

id rather get a backbox than have to find a friendly MOT guy though.

however i can get a vtr mani and downpipe for like £30 so might be worth i shot supose.

ye but gaskets everytime plus my mani and cat thats on it just now is done. really rusted and has been welded twice already.

im sure you can find a way to bodge another backbox on ;)

my ashley is a sleeve fitment. get one of them and cut the magnex backbox off

might just get a custom one made.... £150 made to how i want it to sound and look, not bad :) stainless aswell
