They only weigh 5 kilos - is it worth the £280? and how much does a standard '03 VTS weigh?

Some one here got thier original one ground down to 4.something KG's and it didnt cost much at all. Not worth it all in my opinion.
Have a search through the forums.

hahaha dont waste your money mate, thats like 700g lighter than standard i think. take your flywheel to a metal engineer and have it skimmed out, my engineer thatch done mine for £30 and took 2kg off!

Only thing with having a OE one skimmed is the engineer has to know whats he's doing. If it fails it'll be fair messy.
I changed my 2.2 Prelude flywheel for a 8lb Fidanza fly (less than half the weight of the OE one) and was very impressed with the difference. Couldn't set off with just the clutch any more though...

Helix do some nice light weight flywheels. I would not bother lightening the standard flywheel. There notoriously feeble to start with so there not a great deal you can take off them. If your doing a high revving normally aspirated engine you really do want to stay on the safe side as there something akin to a hand grenade going off when they go.
