make sure the looms are the same ie
single plug vtr needs a single plug vts loom
triple plug vtr need a triple plug vts loom
service and rebuild the engine outside the car, cambelt, water pump, headgasket, clutch blah blah blah

Thats not true, there were crossover looms and all sorts
