going to be putting this in teh VTR, anything i should look out for or check pver firswt before i fit?

How much you pay? Loom aswell?

Well thats a very vague question. A search and a guide will help you out.

make sure the looms are the same ie

single plug vtr needs a single plug vts loom
triple plug vtr need a triple plug vts loom

service and rebuild the engine outside the car, cambelt, water pump, headgasket, clutch blah blah blah

Thats not true, there were crossover looms and all sorts
