Hey :)
right i wanna get my cam belt changed, mostly peace of mind but think its due soon anyway!!! :)
what else can be done while they are changing that?? and cost wise??
this month i need :
Cam belt
service
MOT
Tax
all at the same time :( lame!!!!

replace the tensioner and idler. Inspect the waterpump and replace is looking tired

Have the cambelt, tensioner and water pump done if you plan on keeping the car.
Tensioners usually come in a kit with the belt and a water pump is about £20.

Shop around all your local garages.
I got a good quote, £99 for cambelt change, plus £30 as needed alternator belt done as well and then £99 for full service. So it came to £290 done in the morning 2 days a later and cleaned...can get service just have to look around.

Must have been just the belt at that price, the tensioner kit is around £60 trade iirc

Good price for cambelt, bad price on alternator its a 2 min job and the belts are like £4, but at least its done

im getting my cambelt done tomorrow. £90 for the kit and fitting.

got the cam kit and water pump with fitting for £120
happy with that and its getting done on monday :)
