Supersprint are highly rated.

However i have a standard manifold, straight through centre piece (manifold>backbox) and a magnex backbox and i love the quietness when normal driving.

As above, supersprint are very good, but the 2" backbox doesnt look nice imo, so if it was me i would go for either the magnum backbox (4" and actually a little too big) or a different make backbox.

Have a look into Sportex, i rate them highly, good on the wallet too :y:

Supersprint for me.

On the 3 saxo's I've owned I've had Magnex, Piper and now Supersprint and I must say for gains and sound....Supersprint all the way.

Then again, what engine you have effects the sound.

Can you still get ashley exhausts?

Ive had Powerflow, magnex and supersprint on my saxo.
For performance gains it has to be the supersprint.
For sound it has to be the supersprint again...sounds awesome :D Not come across one person that hasnt liked the sound of it yet :)

will any garage fit these for you??

Proffitt
19th June 2009, 12:23
Yes, any garage should fit an exhaust for you. but its proberly the easiest thing to do your self :y:

I also think the supersprints sound shit LOL!

Magnex still has one of the nicer exhaust tones around, not to boomy, not like a wet fart

all I can think of when it comes to crap sounding, is whatever shitty thing is on the end of Jason's car.

Yer but you guys don't count though, you know nothing about saxo's....i joke obvs x

I am undecided about the sound of the magnex tbh! I had a standard center section which made it VERY quiet! I really need a magnex center section or a custom one making :y:

supersprint sounds nothing like a wet fart, mines hardly loud at all with its 3" piper!

Ryan
19th June 2009, 12:43
whats wrong with it being quieter? Its a saxo not an f1 car.

Having a loud exhaust and no real grunt up front is just a bit ghey imo :P

Barry123

I have a spare magnex centre section funnily enough.

Piper or magnex are about the best to imo. I love my magnex, sounds lovely with the magnex centre section, piper decat and 4-2-1 :y:

Magnex or Janspeed for me! But i prefer the look of a 2"/50mm tailpipe.

Harv

I wasn't a fan of my magnex. Quality is pretty much second to none, excellent quality + its a full stainless system. But going from a full magnex system with 4-2-1 to a supersprint, honest to god you can tell the difference. Anyone that says they hate supersprint, give them ago and you'll be pretty shocked. I also really like the 2" tail pipe, fits perfect on mine and looks standard(ish). Magnex are a good make for sure though, probably the best for quality/subtle noise out of the big manufacturers.

I think ill pass on that one my system aint cheap :homme:

its all opinion, quite a few people are not fans of the noise the poopersprints make, some people prefer a more quiet set up at the rear of the car some people like cherry bombs.

Twas made by a company named H engineering to work with the pugsport manifold. Has a quick release cat/decat for mot time :D

lol its why I eouldnt just go try and use a supersprint.

Just outa interest, you any idea of the gain of it? Did that included the backbox?

It was the only exhaust/manifold the engines ever run on. So no idea, its a single box system with repackable silencer and quick release sports cat. £1300+ it cost ian.

I didn't mean yours obviously Ryan haha, for a normal setup on a 'normal' car then there good imo. If you've got a car with X amount spent on the engine, your not really going to buy an exhaust system worth 200 quid lol :zainy:
