about £2 off kamracing i think(it was spare from my raceland enclosed kit because i put a green in it), then a tenner for a breather from halfords.
take off the old airbox and use jubilee clips to put the filters on, it takes less than 5 minutes.
before anyone says it, i know the raceland filter element bolted directly to the tb is never going to be performance enhancing, but it was on a 1.1 and he just wanted a bit of noise!

It was already explained to ya the other day?

And you were told which filters you could buy for your car lol...

What's your budget, how much would you like to spend on an induction kit?

And why are you buying one, to make your car faster or just for the looks & sound?

Pipercross foam = loudest open filter

There are many guides on here mate just search, all you have to do is remove the existing air filter system and attach the new on onto the throttle Body with a hose clip. Job done, its as simple as that.

You will need more than £40 for a brand new one mate.

Around £60 - £70 for a brand new K an N or Pipercross etc

Could get one second hand i suppose, check the for sale section.

I know this seems like another of those things where people say its easy and you think to yourself, im a real n00b, this isnt easy they're just saying it because they know some stuff about cars, well I hardly know anything and the fact is it REALLY is that easy!

Just by looking at the current air filter system, you will be able to see how easily it all comes off. It is only one jubilee clip that holds the filter in place and when you remove your airbox, you attach your new filter to the hole and re-tigthen the jubilee clip.

Finding a filter that will fit is really easy, just search ebay and car tuning websites and if it says to fit (whatever year V reg is?) + citroen saxo 1.1 then it will definetly fit.

Personally, I would recommend the Raceland Enclosed kit as this is good for your performance, and can be bought from www.kamracing.co.uk for only 60 quid plus small delivering fee. That website has fair prices and really good customer service. I have ordered from there myself a few times and so do others on this site so I recommend having a look on there for filters, but as said I recommend the raceland

Cool, thanks :D I know K&N are only like £20 new =\ thought they were all around that price lol! Why are they so cheap and what do they sound / perform like?
Thanks for the reassurance :D

K&N aren't that cheap buddy, average price for a K&N is 50 quid on ebay, and around 80 quid in Halfords.

The Raceland will perform better due to providing more cold air which is also better for your engine and fuel economy, and its only a tenner more than a K&N from ebay, so recommended by me

if you wanted the link

just realised they don't have one for a 1.1 on Kam, can search ebay for ya unless you would prefer a different filter anyway?

Ah right ok.. Is an air filter any different from an induction kit?

Take a look..What affect does this have?

Also is this price good?

Air Filter and Induction Kit mean the same thing.

the Air Filter is the coney thingy, or airbox or whatever that 'inducts' and filters the air.

People generally call it an induction kit if its a kit which contains an air filter + cold air feed/hosing etc.

Don't bother with the ripseed one tbh, and that price on the PiperX aint bad at all considering its halfords!

Haha :P So if i could get a K&N air filter would it be still as easy to do? And also will it make a good noise on my car?

YES - it will make it sound louder, and give a roar

YES - it will be easy to fit

NO - it probably wont do much performance wise.

Is that reduced to clear or something? I did a search for brand new price + p&p lowest on ebay, and the cheapest was around 50 including postage, and halfords are hardly hardly ever cheaper than ebay on anything so if you can get it for that, thats an amazing price!
