think you misread AL, yes you can, think you have to use the blacktop gasket though.

Silver top will fit on a black top lump BUT your inlet manifold wont fit holes are different so you will have to change to much to get it to run .....might aswell keep it as it is

The oil filters are in different places on the block buts thats about it
