Possibly a little bit, but will deffinatly improve the acceleration

ye just a backbox you will see no/less performance than before.
A full system is the way to go :)

Just a decent back box might give you 1bhp gain, therefore will not improve acceleration. The car will feel a bit faster due to the better noise produced.
The only way to to get reasonable gains is to fit a full system inc manifold.

cheers i was just wonderin coz me insurance said i could put one on when first had quote done, then i paid for it all and they said as long as it doesn't improve the power it would be a add to insurance no charge i only want it for looks really

Ha ha people are far too honest. A backbox wont make any difference at all. Dont declare your exhaust to insurance. They rob you enough as it is anyway. Simple.
