Had a 4-1 on my old VTR and noticed an improvement, however I have heard that the standrard VTS manifold is not too restrictive so dont want to spend the money if there is not going to make much of a difference. I have a straight through system on my VTS at the moment. Seen a brand new manifold on ebay for £176 which i thought was pretty good.

I noticed quite a difference on my VTS when I fitted a Janspeed manifold. I wasnt much quicker but it pulled alot better, you could feel there was more torque, which is quite strange really!
