Hi All,

Haynes manual and other threads (search for "wiring diagram") don't seem to give the correct standard ECU pinouts for an early VTS with single plug ecu.

Am I right????

I think the fuel pump relay should be switched by pin 28 on the ecu and not pin 15 as shown by Haynes.

Can anyone varify?, thanks

its either 35, 52 or 13

15 is an earth

28 is road speed sensor and speedometer

fuel pumps switched by the ignition relay not the ecu. Its pin 13 off the top of my head, it might vary with the 106 vs vts loom though but its basically the same if you look at the top of the relay the diagram shows a few wires that power various bits

Thanks men, does anyone have a complete ECU wiring diagram? All I have is the haynes manual one and it's not right for what I have

Thanks men, very useful.
I'm having some problems and don't have a standard car/wiring loom to compare.

Pin 7 on the ECU is not 'activating' and thus is not earthing the injection relay.
When I hard wire the relay to earth (pin 7 on relay as well) the pump runs continuously and the car starts, drives, and runs as normal.

However, the rev limiter is not working as the ECU cannot cut the ignition relay.... :(
Also, the 3 second fuel pump priming feature is also not working as again, the relay isn't getting the earth signal from the ECU.

The problem seems to be that the original i m m o b i l i z e r circuit is damaged.
The wires from ECU PIN 48 and 29 are open ended.

Can anyone tell me if ECU pin 48 and 29 are +12v/earth/or other voltage?
I suspect that when I put 12v/earth to one of these wires that PIN 7 will "activate" and earth the injection relay.

Defo a question for the experts!

If someone could unplug their Single plug VTS ECU and turn the ignition on -
and take voltage/earth readings with a mutlimeter from PIN 48 and 29 on the ECU connector block (remember on the block No. 1 pin is on the bottom left - opposite to ECU itself) it would be much appreciated.

Save me from pushing my engine over the 8500 rpm mark :)

this may or may not help lol

As you said the immobilisor would explain the fuel pump not priming. Usually they prime along with the engine initing but not running.

Have you changed any ignition barrells, transponders keys or the ECU at all?

I guess you know what im getting at, if your willing to take this problem on, but still worth asking.

Dont have a clue about the Rev limiter though, ECU fked to me lol.

Thanks, that is some help - nice and clear
Its PIN 48 and 27 that I require and not 29 as previously advised.

Yeh, all that equipment is long gone. ECU is fine.
ECU limits revs by cutting earth on PIN 7, thus cutting injection relay.
I just need to know whether to put 12v to PIN 28 or 27 to bypass the circuit and reactivate the earth on PIN 7.......

Don't want to hazzard a guess and fry my ECU

Edit pins - getting myself confused now :)
