They will both do the same job as with all decats. The bores are the same and they run the same route, theres not alot of difference between them.

decat is a decat, if its bolts on inplace of the cat and not made of plastic then you cant go wrong

It will be louder/raspy and should notice small performace gains
Torque may drop slightly at lower rpm's due to the reduced back pressure but you'll gain it back and more bhp at higher revs.

so what happens when you fit one of these and you go for an MOT? does it still pass an emissions test? im used to just cutting them off and weighing them in lol

Do note though that if cought by the police and they check your car for whatever reason and find that you're not running with a cat, then you can get into trouble. Try looking at a sports cat...

Tbh there isnt really any chance of this happening, just go with the de-cat, will be worth it with a nice decent back box and manifold.

Yeah fit one up dude but keep the original CAT for an MoT.
Good mod, glets the engine rev more freely and gives you some more power higher up!

dont think the police can do a fat lot, just the vosa mobile stations you sometimes see, they will make your mot void an force you to re-test it :homme:
as far as mot goes ive had 2 vts now, both have been de-catted and they both passed an emissions test !? i just keep my mouth shut an fingers crossed an for 4-5 mot tests its worked :A:
the noise is loads better even with a standard system its defo more raspy and after a 'good drive' a bit of poppin too :P
