Hello,

Yesterday i installed an Green Open Air Filter and a breather on the rockercover.

The problem is that the oil breather spits out little drops of oil.

What can i do to stop that? Just put a longer tube on it? Or mount a little tank to catch the oil?

Here's a pic from the filter setup:

catch tank would do the job the best. A longer pipe also works

catch tank would be far better :)

put a pipe which aims into the filter then just clean the filter every now and then, :)

it normally goes back into the engine anyway,

Whats the wire just above the oil breather, thats attached to your induction hosing for the filter?

Would assumed its a sensor wired up to an air temperture gauge or something?

Shouldnt there be a pipe coming from the left? Going onto the hol on the rocker cover then the breather filter goes on that?

blacktop vtrs had an air temp sensor in the airbox rather than the throttle body

Guys, i've put on a longer hose, but it still spits a bit of oil. I think i'm going to buy me an catch tank ;)

Blacktop VTR's don't have the "extra" hose indeed.

Thanks for the reactions!

I don't presently have an air filter on my saxo. Can anyone tell me the difference between the green and blue one's i've seen. Is it dangerous to drive in the meantime without one?

dont know about the difference between green and blue. but wouldn't drive without any kind of filter on, the amount of shit off the roads getting sucked into the carb/head, before you know it you will be spitting parts of your pistons out of the exhaust

just think of all the shit that is getting sucked into your engine and if anything big gets in there thats going to cost :)
