Hi.

Basicly have a while off college etc now so yeah am bored.

Wanted to have a go at doing some small bits of stripping / weight reductions.

I want to know whats really worth doing?

I had a go at the seats today etc... got the bottom parts of seats out, yet wondered how to get the back out? Since you would have to like bend the brackets?

Just basicly wondered what sort of other things are easy enough to do?

you dont need to bend the brackets. just wiggle it about a bit and it will come out. or lie the backrest flat and have a fiddle. definately no need for any bending to happen!!!

But is there any real point? Im not going for a whole stripped feel like... and i dont see how removing plastic panels would help :) Also my tweeters are in the door cards.

And i managed to get the seat out. Removed sub to. Back looks empty lol.

Going to take up the carpet tommorow and have a good clean.

Dont you have to have a spare wheel at all times?

but for a car which will only ever see road its the most pointless thing in existance.

stick with the comfort

if your taking your back seats out then there is no need for anythin in the back surely?

LOL.

That depends on how much you want to "feel" the car/road/throttle response.

Mine is completely stripped and is one of the best things i have ever done.

Nothing like taking a corner flat in a bucket seat with a supersprint system and some Billies....

Each to their own i say.

If you aint gonna do it properly then dont do it. Car will look daft with some stuff in but partially stripped. I see chavs do that n think they have track cars, divs.com mate.

I prefer taking a corner flat in a 1.1 seat, 90bhp, federal tyres and geemax springs....

Ok joke over..

It pisses me off when poeple take out their backseats thinking its gonna make the world of difference.

exactly

at the end of the day it really doesnt make much difference.
it makes storing stuff/bring shopping home a right pain in the arse as it slides everywhere.

its noisy

people will think you're a tit if youve got standard front seats and nothing in the back.

so dont do it :D
