iPhone Internet Tethering

As part of iPhone 3.0 you have the opportunity to 'officially' use the iPhone as a modem so you can surf the net from a laptop... I've had to start using it as I've just moved and the internet hasn't been set up yet...

Just wondering if anyone had tried it... I found it a bit of ball ache setting up tbh! but then I'm focking useless with computers anyway :geek: But once you get through it the speed isn't so bad and pretty useable! :)

Paying for it sayer using the "official" 02 tariff?? I need to setup one of the free ones. I have no use for it but you never know when i will :D

well... with iPhone Modem if you hadn't paid for it it would just stop midway through downloading anything above about a mb which was poo. Seems ok, speeds are a touch on the shit side but I'm not in a great area! handy at the moment having no landline internets

yep all above board - I can't believe it either :geek: I haven't actually jailbroken the 3.0 version yet, can't see the point tbh.

yeah the pricing isn't too crazy if you use the 3gb's then yeah £10 goes to o2... but if you don't then you don't get charged.
