1.L mk2 decat

what decat pipe would i need does any body have any links please its not for power just a litel more noise, to go with my 3" ashely, the cat is under the car not in the mani cheers

any will do, or you could buy a centre pipe for a mk2 1.1 which has the cat in the manifold which will decat for you, probably the cheapest option

is yours a centre section with the cat welded in like my old eastcoast?

no mate its got the mani, then down pipe that curves around and links up to the cat, then from the cat theres a long link pipe that then conects to back box, if that made any sense

if i did decat what whould it be like for my engine, whould it put a lot of strain on it

better to just get a new gasket this will ensure it has no blows etc. A decat shouldn't put a strain on your engine it will help it "breathe" better and make it a little more free revving top end but power gain won't be anything huge esp on a 1L.

cheers mate, i thought they where both same just ones selling through a company just down road from me, i dident buy it yet as i have waited just to get some pepols thoughts, i know theres no real power gains for my car, i just wanted to liven up the ashley back box it dosent sound quite how i want, im not going for ridicules noise just tring to get a bit more poping and a littel rasp
