im thinking of stripping my vts out a bit to make it bit lighter on its feet only thing i was wondering is will it handle as well wen its lighter coz wen i bought the car it was standard inside and felt 2 light on corners etc but since then i put a massive ice install in and apart from makin the music sound spot on it seems to be better handling jus worried that it will be worse than it was b4 with no ice, and will it actually make that much difference its tweaked up to 158bhp and still pulls really well with the system

The more weight you take out the more "light on its feet" the carll feel, just somthing you have to account for with your throttle responce.

Harder suspension and better tyres help to a point but imho only on track. Mines as hard as a whores nipple and is shit around town even with the interior.

yh i get u m8 mines lowered alot and riding on low profiles it helps it not roll but it feels 2 twitchy on bends at speed the steerings 2 light these cars would feel better without power steering i think, yh i know wot u mean i dont mind the car it is shit driving it anywhere but on smooth tarmac, i only bought the car coz i got it so ridiculously cheep saxos never been my thing evry1s got em but now i think its pretty fun t drive

Ummm that pretty much explains why your car is shit to drive on anything but smooth tarmac.

Thats one thing that lets saxos down is the fact they dont have a lot of feeling back through the wheel.

And little pedals lol.

yh it took some getting used 2 with the pedals lol u can see wot other cars i have this is like a tiny little toy compared to them i may have it put on standard springs coz it dont need t be like a go kart with the state of britains rds, think with wot ur saying the install and trim staying in its lite enough plus im gonna be selling it soon as not my cuppa tea lol

Totally agree, i always thought lift off oversteer was only felt in supercars. When i stripped mine out and put the grp boot on i thought id totally fucked the car up but after some tweaking of the dampers and learning how to make the car do what i want it was much better.

Best thing ive ever done to my car was strip it. To the max. Thanks to Don55 for the inspiration to fuck up my doors :)

now ur making reconsider it ste ill have a look see wot the threads saying i am also cocsidering getting it turbo'd and getting it track prepared coz thats sumat i always wanted to do , was considering getting my prelude track ready but dont think the 4 wheel steering is alll its cracked up to be its good for slow speeds but high speed would feel safer with rigid rear wheels cheers m8

4ws only works at parking speeds, its turnt off over 2 or 3mph iirc.

And is a rare option to begin with on 5gen's

it doesnt turn off at all m8 it steers with the front wheels over 20kmh and against the front under 20kmh not sure wot gen it is but its a 92 plate top spec'd import 1
